But when Lucia was born, everything changed — I no longer had time to sit on a cushion each morning! Founded in 2022, Mindful Original was created with a simple goal: to make mindfulness easy, effective and accessible for everyone. However, mindfulness allows us to take this practice beyond those moments, integrating meditation into everyday activities. This is often called informal meditation, where we exercise the same skills—awareness, presence, and inner calm—throughout different environments and situations. Many emphasise the importance of informal meditation, as it helps us maintain a sense of balance and peace throughout the day, rather than confining mindfulness to a set time in the morning.
Formal (traditional) meditation offers the opportunity to go 'deeper' into your experience, creating space for profound self-awareness and inner stillness. On the other hand, informal meditation allows you to practice mindfulness more frequently, weaving it into your daily life.
