Mindfulness is simply the practice of paying full attention to the present moment—what you're doing, how you're feeling, and what's happening around you—without judging it as good or bad. Mindfulness can happen naturally—like when we watch clouds slowly moving through the sky. Or it can be intentional—like when we meditate or do breathing exercises to manage stress.
When we talk about mindfulness, we usually think of a type of meditation where we sit in silence, focus on our breath, and clear our minds. This is known as traditional, or formal meditation.
Mindfulness practice, however, isn’t limited to this experience; it can be brought into our daily lives. We can practice it during our daily walk, while washing dishes, when we need to quiet our busy minds, or even when someone is yelling at us. This is called informal meditation—practicing mindfulness whenever we need it.
At Mindful Original, we focus on informal meditation and mix it with tools like gratitude practices, mental health support, and food coaching to help you become the best version of yourself. In other words, we help you feel more grounded while also building healthy habits like positive thinking, eating well, and boosting your self-worth.
